Rick Grimes & Michonne, Dead City Second Seasons Reportedly Being Discussed

The Walking Dead‘s Rick Grimes and Michonne spinoff series, currently known as The Walking Dead: Summit, is reportedly being eyed up for a second season, according to new information online, however, nothing has been confirmed officially.

This news comes from a Twitter account known as @TWDUFilming, which spotlighted the fact that an actor, who supposedly worked on the upcoming spinoff, posted a selfie to Instagram, and captioned it with “On my way home from set after wrapping the first season of TWDSummit. -” before editing the post and removing “the first season of” section of the text.

The actor’s name is Scott McPherson, who has seemingly removed the post from Instagram entirely post-@TWDUFilming sharing on Twitter. McPherson currently has no credits for The Walking Dead: Summit on his official IMDB page, however, the now-deleted post seems to say differently as he sports a fake injury on his way home.

Alongside @TWDUFilming’s new find came additional information that they have reportedly heard from a crew member who worked on the spinoff series that “there would be” a second season, continuing to add that that “someone closer” then told them that the spinoff will in fact “be a limited series, but Dead City would be getting another season.”

Despite the account being right in the past, a second season for either spinoff has yet to be confirmed by the cast and crew of The Walking Dead: Summit or The Walking Dead: Dead City.

The Walking Dead: Dead City comes to AMC and AMC+ on Sunday, June 18 2023.

The Walking Dead: Summit does not yet have an official release date.
