Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is now playing in theaters, and it has managed to awe fans and critics alike. With a critics score of 84% and an audience score of 95%, it is one of the highest-rated MCU movies of all time. It has received an ‘A’ score from CinemaScore as well. At the box office, it is currently at $342M, in just 4 days since its release.
The movie introduced Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams AKA Ironheart and helped set the character up for her solo series, Ironheart. Filming for the series wrapped up just two weeks ago, and the production team was gifted custom Ironheart shoes as wrap gifts for the series.
In an interview with Screen Rant, Wakanda Forever actor Dominique Thorne talked about how she received an opportunity to speak with Robert Downey Jr. while filming Wakanda Forever.
“I wasn’t able to speak with RDJ before we got into filming or anything, but right toward the conclusion of the film, I actually had the chance to speak with him through FaceTime. A cast mate over on Ironheart had actually done a show with him and connected us, and he had some beautiful words to say about how much he believes that Riri Williams is and should always be her own person, her own thing. That this legacy is headed in the right direction and all the beautiful encouraging things that you hope to hear from the Iron Man himself.”

The highest-paid MCU actor told her, “Riri Williams is and should always be her own person”. Fun fact: an A.I. version of Tony Stark in the comics assisted Riri in creating her second armor.
