With only 25 days until Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania releases and we get to see Kang the Conqueror in action, a new rumour suggests that our next look at a Kang variant might be coming sooner than later. A new rumour from industry insider Daniel Richtman indicates that another variant of Kang from the comics might appear in the second season of Marvel Studios’ Loki.
This new variant was described as an inventor in the past, who wanted to buy specific things in order to affect the future. Responding to a comment asking whether this variant was Victor Timely, Richtman affirmed that he wasn’t sure. Less than a week ago, Daniel Richtman shared a new rumour, saying that Loki Season 2 would feature multiple variants of Kang the Conqueror. A week prior to that, he stated that Jonathan Majors recently filmed scenes as a Kang variant for the series.

Marvel’s Victor Timely Explained
If the Kang variant is indeed Victor Timely, that would make for a very interesting episode of Loki as the variant is drastically different from those we’ve seen till now. But who is Victor Timely?
In Marvel Comics, after the Avengers defeated Kang, he travelled back in time to the year 1901 in order to plan his modern-day conquest. He posed as Victor Timely in the state of Wisconsin and established the town on Timely (rightly so!). He was the town’s mayor and helped set up factories and businesses. Meanwhile, he also developed technology for the town which ultimately ended up bringing the original Human Torch android to life, and was a key component in Mr. Fantastic and Misty Knight’s equipment.
Just like Kingo in the MCU, Kang acted as multiple generations of Victor Timely (although he employed robots to have different looks), and nobody suspected a thing. Meanwhile, he also founded Chronopolis, which might play a major role in Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania. Although the description doesn’t match Victor Timely from the comics, it is important for us to understand that the variant may not be Victor Timely, or may just be loosely inspired by him. We know that the MCU almost never does a 1:1 adaptation of the comic events, which further solidifies the rumour.
