Rick Grimes will reportedly run away from the CRM helicopter seen in the 'The Walking Dead' finale

This article contains potential spoilers for the Rick Grimes and Michonne spinoff series.

Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes has been rumoured online to escape, or at least attempt to escape, the Civil Republic Military (CRM) helicopter seen during the finale of the main The Walking Dead series, where Rick Grimes was caught by the sinister Civil Republic.

The rumoured information comes from a Twitter account known as TWDU Filming Updates, an account that has posted consistent updates on various projects being filmed set in the same universe as The Walking Dead, along with exclusive set images from time to time.

Rick Grimes Escapes CRM Helicopter Rumour

While responding to another Twitter user in regard to the final moments of the final The Walking Dead episode, TWDU Filming Updates replied in a retweet “ I can tell you this much (…) 101: “Rick takes the hard way out, makes a run for it. Tracking shot: Rick runs through the woods” ”.

The “101” is a reference to Season 1, Episode 1 of The Walking Dead: Summit, aka the Rick Grimes and Michonne series, with the information attached suggesting that Rick Grimes will attempt to run away from the helicopter and potentially even escape through a nearby woods, or as mentioned, attempt to escape through a nearby woods.

The rumour does not mention if Rick manages to fully escape the CRM helicopter, only that he tries to, which does sound like something Lincoln’s character would attempt to pull off, however, these details will remain a rumour until officially confirmed or debunked once the series releases sometime next year in 2024.
