Sadie Sink is still being eyed to join the MCU according to a recent update from the trusted industry scooper Daniel Richtman, potentially debunking claims that opposed this rumor. Sadie Sink has been rumored by various sources on the internet to be joining the MCU in an extremely secret role, with no details on which project she will be joining.
Inside the comment section on a recent post from Richtman, a commenter asked “Do you know if she [SADIE SINK] up for an MCU role?”, Richtman responded with “She is”.
Some have speculated that she may be up for a role in the Thunderbolts movie as the Marvel Comics character Songbird, a character that hasn’t been confirmed but has also been rumored to be getting a live-action adaptation for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
There has also been some speculation that Sink may be up for a role in Deadpool 3, due to the director being Shawn Levy who also produces Stranger Things, the show that Sink is most known for playing Max Mayfield. However, no official announcements or comments from the cast and crew of Marvel Studios have been made as of yet.
Sink currently has two upcoming projects listed on her IMDB page, none being MCU-related, which could imply that she could have some projects being kept tightly under wraps until an official announcement is made. When the fourth season of Stranger Things dropped on Netflix in 2022, Sadie Sink quickly solidified herself as one of the year’s most-watched stars due to her incredible scene where her character Max faces the Stranger Things antagonist, Vecna.
She also played a part in making the iconic song Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush extremely popular again, being played millions of times across the internet by millions of fans – both old and new.

Breakdown #1 – Who Is Songbird?

Songbird, real name Melissa Gold, has plenty of incredibly written source material from her Marvel Comics run, a character who can use her vocal cords as a weapon. Songbird does in fact join the Thunderbolts team, after burning out her vocal cords and losing her powers, which leads to Baron Zemo recruiting her and eventually providing her with a piece of tech that attaches to her neck, allowing her to once more use her abilities.
Is Songbird A Villain Or A Hero?
Songbird does start out as a supervillain during the beginning of her story arc, eventually teaming up with Baron Zemo to help him with his evil plans to take over the world. However, Songbird eventually ditches the villain’s life and actually joins the Avengers to help fight against the true evil in the world.
If Sadie Sink does indeed join the MCU as Songbird, this could potentially mean that Sink will be the next candidate for the future and inevitable Young Avengers team-up, whenever that may be.
Sadie Sink Could Be Joining Deadpool 3

Shawn Levy has strong experience working with Sadie Sink, Hugh Jackman, and Ryan Renolds, on various projects throughout all of their careers. It could be possible that Levy has signed Sink up for a role in Deadpool 3, which could mean Sink may be joining the MCU as an official mutant from Marvel Comics.
However, as said earlier in this news article, no official announcement has been made as of yet to say whether or not Sadie Sink will be joining the MCU.
