When the crew of Secret Invasion was first revealed by The Hollywood Reporter nearly two years ago, the series was helmed by two directors, Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim.
However, when the series got closer to release and Disney+ started releasing press releases, nothing ever mentioned Bezucha, which surely sparked our curiosity.
When asked what is something about Ali Selim that “stands out” by Collider‘s Perri Nemiroff, Sam Jackson revealed that one of the directors of the series (referring to Bezucha) quit the project before filming started.
Jackson broke out laughing after saying that he was concerned it was he who was responsible for Bezucha leaving the project.
“Interestingly enough, when I first started this, Ali was one of two directors. I met with him, and then I met with the other director, and the next day the other director quit [laughs].”

Before Bezucha quit, both directors had a breakdown of episodes of three-three or four-two. After Bezucha quit, Selim directed all 6 episodes of the series.
“But I think it’s great that Ali stuck, and even greater that they allowed him to direct all the episodes.”
