With barely a week to go until Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania releases in theatres, and just one day until another trailer for the movie releases at the Super Bowl, the ScreenX trailer for the movie has been released, giving us more footage to break down.
What Is ‘ScreenX’?
ScreenX was first introduced in 2012, which went on to be the first in the world to combine multi-projection technology with theater screen and project images on the outside wall of the front screen. Basically, this format added two extra screens across the walls, which created a more immersive 270-degree viewing experience for the moviegoer. The expanded space allows for more creative possibilities within blockbusters, and helps express more of the story.

As you can see in the above image, the format expands across the walls of the theatres, giving us a feel of experiencing the movie as if it was happening around us. However, the facts don’t really give us the wider picture (pun intended). Although this isn’t as popular as IMAX or the other film formats, it definitely gives us more content to analyse before the movie drops!
Easter Eggs From The New ScreenX ‘Quantumania’ Trailer

Hank Pym and Hope Van Dyne can be clearly seen alongside Janet in this shot.

Kang’s time chair is now visible behind Janet and Hank, proving that it will likely play a pivotal role in the movie’s story.

A better look at the environment surrounding Bill Murray in this scene, possibly being Krylar’s introduction in the threequel.

A wider look at Emerald City, Kang’s kingdom.

The time chair makes another appearance, this time behind Kang in this shot.

Hank, Janet, and Hope fly through the Quantum Realm on what looks like a quantum-level stingray.
How Does The Time Chair factor in ‘Quantumania’?

In earlier adaptations, Kang’s time chair was a device which enabled him to travel across space and time. While we don’t know the exact details, it seems that Kang will be trapped in the Quantum Realm, and will require the Ant-Fam’s help to escape the chaotic world.
Previously speaking with Empire Magazine, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said, “Kang’s a very powerful person, but when we meet him he’s in a position where he needs to get that power back. He has a ship and a device that would allow him to go anywhere, and anywhen he wants if he can get it online. If only he had access to genius scientists with Pym particles.”
The “ship” Feige refers to completely fits the description of the Time Chair, and proves that the device will in fact, be offline in the movie. It is left to be seen whether Kang manages to succeed in his mission.
