September is just right around the corner which means new games for PS Plus Essential subscribers. The line-up is going to consist of Saints Row, Black Desert – Traveller Edition and Generation Zero, which will be available from September 5 until October 2.
This won’t be the only news as there are some changes towards the 12-month subscription.
Saints Row is set in the fictional city of Santo Ileso, located in the American Southwest and modeled after Las Vegas, Nevada. At the start of the game, the city is controlled by two warring gangs: Los Panteros, a gritty vehicle and fitness-oriented gang that runs smuggling and protection; and the Idols, an anarcho-communist gang focused on clubs and nightlife.
A third faction, Marshall Defense Industries, an international private military corporation known for its high-tech weaponry, is also based in Santo Ileso, and attempts to eradicate all gang presence in the city while increasing its own influence.
The player character, known simply as “the Boss”, is a former member of Marshall who forms a gang, the Saints, with the help of roommates: Eli, a successful investor and business entrepreneur who plans most of the gang’s operations; Kevin, an aspiring chef who formerly worked as a DJ for the Idols and handles the execution of the Saints’ heists; and Neenah, an art major and ex-mechanic for Los Panteros who serves as the gang’s driver.
This game will be available to both PS4 and PS5 owners with their respective versions.
Black Desert – Traveler Edition
Find your calling in this open-world fantasy MMORPG which boasts fast-paced PvE combat, large-scale PvP siege wars, multiple character classes and combat types to specialize in.
You can also choose to dedicate yourself to a variety of pursuits, such as trade, fishing, horse training, alchemy, cooking, and gathering. The Traveler Edition comes with the base game and multiple add-ons but do keep note, that PS Plus members who have already bought any edition of Black Desert will not be able to redeem the full Traveler Edition bundle from PS Plus.
However, PS Plus members who have bought any edition of Black Desert other than the Traveler Edition will be able to redeem the standalone Traveler Item Pack from PlayStation Plus instead.
This game will be available to PS4 owners and PS5 owners through backwards compatibility.
This first-person open-world adventure is set in the familiar but hostile open world of 1980s Sweden. Battle and survive deadly machine enemies alone or with three friends in seamless online co-op as you discover the truth behind what’s happened to the region.
You must choose your battles wisely as you engage in adrenaline-pumping guerilla combat against these mechanical forces. Scavenge parts from your fallen enemies and use them to craft equipment, weapons and ammunition.
Build and fortify your own bases across the island and start taking back your home. This game will be available to PS4 owners and PS5 owners through backwards compatibility.
PlayStation Plus members only have until September 4 to add August’s games to their library before they’re gone forever so if you haven’t already done so, don’t forget to do it so that you have access to those games forever.
PS Plus 12-Month Price Change
PlayStation has decided to make quite a weird decision and that’s to increase the price of the 12-month subscription. Starting September 6 the price for the 12-month subscription on each tier will be increasing.
PlayStation says it is to enable them to continue bringing high-quality games and value-added benefits to their PlayStation Plus Subscription Service.
This is hard to believe as the benefits say for the Premium tier already don’t warrant the price tag and now it’s about to get even more expensive. It’s a bold choice from Sony and is sure to get some reactions out of their loyal fans.
New PlayStation Plus 12-Month Plans
Here are the new prices for PlayStation Plus 12-Month Subscription Plans:
PlayStation Plus Essential 12-Month Subscription
79.99 USD | 71,99 Euro | 59.99 GBP | 6,800 Yen
PlayStation Plus Extra 12-Month Subscription
134.99 USD | 125,99 Euro | 99.99 GBP | 11,700 Yen
PlayStation Plus Premium 12-Month Subscription

If you’re currently subscribed for 12 months then the price increase won’t affect you until your next renewal date which takes place after November 6. Do not that if you make any changes to your membership on September 6 or after, it’ll reflect the new price change.
