The sequel to the first instalment of the Netflix series that was released to the streamer only last year is well underway in regard to filming which you can see below.
Sturridge who can be seen wearing his character’s attire dressed in all black enters the set to film scenes alongside Kirby Howell-Baptiste’s character.
Howell-Baptiste reprises her role as Death aka Dream’s older sister aka Death of the Endless, as mentioned, she was also filming scenes for season 2.
Another set image reveals Indya Moore (Pose, Escape Room) preparing to film scenes alongside Sturridge’s Dream.
As to who Moore is playing has yet to be revealed by the cast and crew of the upcoming The Sandman instalment.
Another new look at Moore’s mysterious character seemingly filming a scene as the already mentioned unnamed character.
Sturridge seems to have caught whoever first nabbed the new set images from the latest film shoot for Netflix’s second season of The Sandman judging by his facial expression.
It’s expected that season 2 of The Sandman will most likely aim to adapt the fourth and fifth volumes of the original graphic novel, Season of Mists and A Game of You in that order.
Character and plot details are being kept tightly under wraps and will stay that way until the series premieres next year on Netflix.
Netflix has dropped teasers in the past for the second season though, so it’s safe to assume more news and updates will come prior to the release of season 2.
Netflix’s second season of The Sandman is expected to premiere in 2024.
