K.E.V.I.N
Our predictions for the finale were correct! Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige made an appearance in the season finale, just not how we expected it. During the finale, She-Hulk breaks the 4th wall and enters a Marvel Studios Assembled episode. Jen makes her way through the building and enters the production office for She-Hulk. She demands the writers to change the storyline of the episode, to which they explain that it is “the story K.E.V.I.N wants”. Jen proceeds to break into K.E.V.I.N’s office, to the tune of “Big Energy” by Latto. Here, all of us (myself included) expected to see Kevin Feige in flesh and blood, which was not the case. K.E.V.I.N was unexpectedly revealed to be an acronym for “Knowledge Enhanced Visual Interconnectivity Nexus“. It turns out to be an AI robot, who makes all the big decisions behind the scenes of every Marvel Studios title.
The scene contains tons of meta jokes, some of which are
- K.E.V.I.N says She-Hulk is “very expensive” and that the “visual effects team has moved on to another project”
- Jen tells the AI to save Skaar’s reveal “for the movie”, hinting towards a possible World War Hulk project.
- Jen asks K.E.V.I.N “When are we getting the X-Men?, after which she gives us a thumbs-up.
- Jen complains about the MCU’s oversaturated daddy issues.
- Jen requests K.E.V.I.N to bring Matt Murdock back, saying “A woman has needs.”
- K.E.V.I.N admits to the MCU’s lack of *coughs* intimacy *coughs*
“Historically, we’ve been light in that department.”
K.E.V.I.N
A cool easter egg from the scene is when Feige says “The visual effects team has moved on to another project”, an excerpt from Black Panther‘s “Wakanda” theme can be heard. This is of course a nod to the next MCU project being Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Skaar
After She-Hulk completely resets what happened in the finale, Daredevil ends up staying with Jen’s family for a week. They host a barbecue, at which her extended family pays a visit. After her parents ask Matt about his practice, Bruce returns from space and introduces his son, Skaar.
“I have someone that I’d like you all to meet. This is my son, Skaar.”
Bruce Banner
Who Is Skaar?
In the comics, Skaar was the son of Hulk and Caiera the Oldstrong. He was born on Sakaar, just as he did in the MCU. He first appeared in What If? Planet Hulk #1. Unlike Hulk, he emerged from a cocoon, appearing to be the age of a human boy. A year later, he appeared to have grown to a young adult. Skaar will definitely be very different from Bruce, due to the fact that he is an alien.
Wong
In K.E.V.I.N’s office, Jen asked for Emil to be held responsible for violating his parole. He is sentenced to 10 years of prison, which he graciously accepts. In the mid-credits scene, Wong arrives at the DODC Supermax Prison, and apologizes for the delay. This proves that Wong and Abomination had a pact before the events of She-Hulk, possibly during their fighting sessions at the Golden Daggers Club in Macau. Wong breaks Emil out of his containment cell, possibly setting up his appearance in Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts, which is set to release in 2024.
