Along with Spider-Man 4 come a lot of projects that are currently postponing development until the WGA strike comes to a fair resolution. Fellow Marvel title Deadpool 3 has chosen to dive into production despite the fact that Ryan Reynolds will not be able to make changes to the script or improvise lines on the set of the threequel.
New Spider-Man 4 Update From Producer
When talking to Variety during the Los Angeles premiere of Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, Pascal said that Spider-Man 4 is still in the works with Tom Holland and Zendaya attached to reprise their MCU roles.
However, the Sony producer confirmed that the fourth Spider-Man movie set in the MCU has been put on hold in support of the writers’ strike.
“Are we going to make another movie? Of course, we are, we’re in the process, but the writers strike, nobody is working during the strike. We’re all being supporters and whenever they get themselves together, we’ll get started.”

CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment Tom Rothman was less inclined to speak on the matter as he jokingly said that he’d have to “kill you” if he “told you”.
Zendaya Confirmed For Spider-Man 4
One confirmed detail from the LA premiere Variety discussion with Sony producer Amy Pascal was that Zendaya will definitely be returning to the MCU for Spider-Man 4.
This should come as no surprise to fans of the Holland-led Spider-Man franchise. However, Zendaya has yet to be added to the IMDB page for the currently Untitled Spider-Man Sequel but Pascal clears any doubt assuming that any existed in the first place.
Additional casting and plot details for Spider-Man 4 are currently being kept under wraps at Sony Pictures Entertainment and Marvel Studios.
What Will Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man 4 Be Called?
Marvel Studios and Sony have yet to announce the official title for Spider-Man 4. It’s expected that the title will follow the “home” pattern such as the first three instalments Homecoming, Far From Home, and No Way Home.
It could also be theorized that the fourth instalment will kick things off with a home-less title and possibly start a whole new pattern. Fans will just have to stay tuned.
Spider-Man 4 is currently expected to release sometime in 2024.
Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse comes to theatres on June 2, 2023.
