The official synopsis of Squid Game: The Challenge reads –
“Though the reality version of Squid Game isn’t a matter of life or death, there’s still a lot on the line, Through a series of games, each player will be pushed to their limits and forced to ask themselves just how far they’ll go to win, with opportunistic alliances, cutthroat strategies and timely betrayals to follow.”
Just like the original South Korean show, Squid Game: The Challenge will have contestants competing in strange and increasingly difficult games. These games will gradually eliminate players until one winner is crowned.
The trailer doesn’t reveal much about the games, but it does show the giant Red Light, Green Light doll from the original series, suggesting it might kick off the reality series.
Squid Game: The Challenge was filmed in studios located in the United Kingdom. The series generated controversy due to reported real-life injuries and subpar filming conditions during production.
