From Netflix’s fictional town of Hawkins in Stranger Things to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Joseph Quinn is reportedly being eyed to play a major fan-favourite role.
According to Twitter user @rDCEUleaks, Quinn is currently being eyed as a top choice for none other than Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch for Fantastic Four.

Since starring as the iconic Eddie Munson in season 4 of Stranger Things. Quinn has risen to new heights of success, landing roles in major titles such as Gladiator 2 and
John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place: Day One.
Will Joseph Quinn Be Fantastic Four’s Human Torch?
Firstly, Quinn being eyed as Marvel Studios’ top choice for the live-action Human Torch has yet to be confirmed by the cast and crew of the MCU Fantastic Four movie.
If true, this doesn’t solidify the Stranger Things star as the next Johnny Storm. The reported information only suggests that he is being eyed for the role, not if he is interested or is currently in talks to try and land the job.
Quinn being considered would come as no surprise, not only due to the above-mentioned rise in popularity but for his talent in bringing different characters to life.
Stranger Things was far from the first acting gig for Quinn, he has many years of experience behind him. Various captivating performances contributed to the acting world for many years prior to playing Eddie Munson. It would be safe to say that the Human Torch role would be in safe hands.
Who Else Has Been Eyed For Human Torch?
Despite this new report claiming that Quinn is currently the top choice to the play Johnny Storm, previous reports suggest that he wasn’t always in the first place.
In late April of this year, it was shared online that actor Paul Mescal had reportedly been offered the role of the ‘Flame on’ shouting Fantastic Four member.

Whether or not he said yes was left for MCU fans to speculate online and it has still yet to be confirmed to be true or not by the cast and crew of the Marvel Studios title.
What this new report suggests is that, if true, Mescal said no to joining the MCU, at least as the brother of Sue Storm the Human Torch.
Has Anybody Been Confirmed For Fantastic Four Yet?
As of writing this article, nobody has actually been confirmed to be playing any major Fantastic Four member in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Fantastic Four director Matt Shakman has made it clear that casting and plot details will be kept tightly under wraps until a later date.
It’s also safe to assume that no update will be coming anytime soon due to the ongoing WGA writers’ strike with now a potential SAG-AFTRA strike happening which would place not just writers but actors on the picket lines.
Various names have been rumoured across the web to be attached to the major MCU movie. Such as Adam Driver, Margot Robbie, Vanessa Kirby, Mila Kunis, Paul Mescal, and Joseph Quinn, among more with most being rumoured for the same role.
Kunis even responded to the speculation that she is involved in the project due to being spotted having lunch with Shakman, the director of the movie itself.
However, the That ’70s Show star did confirm that she knows who has been cast so far for Shakman’s Fantastic Four. Confirming that at least one person has landed a role.
“we went to a deli, we had lunch together, and the next day I was somehow in Fantastic Four, I am NOT in [Marvel Studios’ 2025 movie] Fantastic Four but I know who is, but I don’t want to get in trouble with the [Disney] mouse.”
Mila Kunis
Judging by recent reports, it seems that the Storm siblings seem to be generating the most noise. This could potentially mean that Fantastic Four’s The Thing and Reed Richards aka Mister Fantastic are the characters cast so far.
As previously stated though, nobody has been announced to be playing anybody yet.
Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four is currently slated for May 2, 2025.
