Unless you have been living under a rock, you have probably heard of Taylor Swift‘s record-breaking Eras Tour by now – announced last fall, the tour kicked off in March of this year and has already completed its first leg of the U.S. portion.
The tour is on a break for a couple of months and will begin the international leg in November.

I was lucky enough to see this tour live on July 7th, 2023 in Kansas City, Missouri, and let me just say, as a Taylor Swift superfan (or, “Swiftie”) dating way back to 2008, it was the most magical thing I have ever experienced, and many tears were shed. There has never been a tour quite like this one.
Spanning 17 years of music and 10 studio albums, the Eras Tour has a lot of ground to cover – for those who don’t know, Taylor released her first, self-titled album in 2006, and is still putting music out – her most recent (non-rerecorded) album, Midnights, came out in October 2022.

This tour has been wildly popular, some claiming it to be the most successful tour, well…ever. Ticketmaster literally broke as fans (and resellers) struggled to claim tickets to the highly anticipated shows. I am still in awe that I managed to get tickets myself.
Taylor Swift Announces Theatrical Release
With the first U.S. leg of the tour finished – Taylor announced today, August 31st, that the Eras Tour is making its big screen debut starting October 13th, 2023!

When Does It Release? How To Buy Tickets
This is super exciting news for all Taylor Swift fans. We have been speculating that a tour film was probably coming to a streaming service, but to get a whole concert film in theaters is next-level amazing.
I have seen this tour in person and am still over the moon to see it in theaters with my friends who I didn’t get to see the live show! Of course, I’ve got tickets secured, so stay tuned for a review of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, the concert film right here on CoveredGeekly!
