Following a Hu(ghie)ge casting announcement, The Boys is building momentum for its expanding universe as Jason Ritter, Clancy Brown, and Alexander Calvert join spin-off series, Gen V.
The first look at the trio in action was revealed during Prime Video’s panel at CCXP. Calvert joins a string of Supernatural alum, including Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Rob Benedict, climbing aboard the comically violent franchise – the latter pair have taken on undisclosed roles in the widely anticipated fourth season, whereas Calvert is heading into the upcoming spin-off alongside Ritter and Brown.
Gen V First Look: Jason Ritter and Clancy Brown
It is currently unclear what the trio will be doing or whether they will share the screen together, but it’s bound to be quite the experience if the trailer’s anything to go from.
And as things stand, Gen V promises to be just as exhilarating as The Boys – and with its fair share of blood-soaking chaos too.
Ritter, Brown, and Calvert will make their debut when the show airs in 2023, joining veterans Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie, and P.J. Byrne, as well as newcomers Jaz Sinclair, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, and more.
When Is Gen V Coming To Prime Video?
Gen V follows young Supes through their time at the Godolkin University School of Crimefighting, run by Vought International, as they are pushed to their limits in a Hunger Games-type competition to come out on top.
The series is expected to release on Amazon Prime Video in 2023.
