Blumhouse’s BlumFest panel at this year’s New York Comic Con was held yesterday with Jason Blum and Five Nights at Freddy’s movie director Emma Tammi on stage talking about the upcoming live-action adaptation of its popular video game series.
During the NYCC 2023 panel, it was confirmed that one animatronic from the game series has still yet to be revealed, despite the movie only being weeks away from release. However, no specifics as to which animatronic is being kept secret were shared, but fans were quick to begin theorising online which character to expect.
The Puppet Most Likely In FNAF Movie
Although Blumhouse never revealed which animatronic is last to be revealed for the live-action Five Nights at Freddy’s movie, fans have theorised online already that it’s most likely The Puppet – a character that fans of the video game franchise will be more than acquainted with.
It could be safe to assume that the last animatronic is Balloon Boy, another animatronic from the series. However, Balloon Boy has been shown in promotional imagery and on drawing props in the movie’s official trailers.
So, it’s also safe to assume that Blumhouse is not referencing Balloon Boy, simply due to the fact that he has technically been revealed already.
The Puppet first appeared in the video game series’ second game, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, which has left fans convinced this is the last animatronic left to be revealed as the Blumhouse movie adaptation is set to adapt the first three games out of the series.
Animatronics revealed so far include Freddy Fazbear, Chica, Cupcake, Bonnie, Foxy, Balloon Boy, and Golden Freddy.
Blumhouse’s Five Nights at Freddy’s hits theatres and Peacock on October 27, 2023.
