The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne, also known as The Walking Dead: Summit (which is the production title for this series) is an upcoming spin-off series focusing on, you guessed it, Rick Grimes and Michonne, portrayed by Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira respectively.
The series began production on February 15 in New Jersey and is expected to conclude principal photography by mid-May. Production Weekly reported earlier this year in January that the series would wrap filming on May 16, but it seems that the series has postponed that date to May 18.
Filming took place in 2 units, the first being in Atlanta, Georgia; and the second being in Carlstadt, New Jersey.

Scott M. Gimple serves as the showrunner for the series, with Lincoln and Gurira as executive producers along with Robert Kirkman and David Alpert. It is expected to consist of 6 episodes.

No official announcement regarding the release date of the series has been made yet, but The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne is expected to premiere sometime in 2024 to stream exclusively on AMC Plus.
