Allen has iconically starred as the main voice of Toy Story favourite Buzz Lightyear since the franchise’s first instalment back in 1995, up to its most recent instalment in 2019 – as well as for the confirmed Toy Story 5 by the looks of it.
Tim Allen’s Toy Story 5 Pitch
In the interview, Dan Merrifield who is better known as The Movie Dweeb, asks Allen if he can spill any details about the fifth Toy Story movie: “What can you tell me about Toy Story 5, what would you like to see Buzz [Lightyear] get up to?”

Allen then goes into a story about how he was asked a very similar question the day before while in a coffee shop, where he reveals the answer he gave despite confirming that he currently doesn’t know “where the story’s going”.
“What if the whole story [of Toy Story 5] was through Andy as an adult,” the actor told The Movie Dweeb.
He continued, “has children and they just happen to be online and the kid goes ‘have you ever seen this toy?’ and Andy sees that Buzz has got a hand missing – and they’re selling these vintage toys”.

Allen continues to pitch, “And Andy goes and gathers all the toys up, he has to go and find each one of them, put them back together, bring them back to his house and start the whole thing over again with his son.”
Allen goes on to explain, “And I said ‘what a wonderful idea because he brings it, it’s all through Andy’s eyes because we made his life and now he’s returning the favour’.”
Toy Story 5 does not yet have a release date.
