Tom Cruise was reportedly hand-delivered an early copy of The Flash, starring Ezra Miller and Michael Keaton, so that he could watch the movie early after hearing how good it was.
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news just today that Cruise apparently loved the DC movie so much that he called the director, Andy Muschietti, to tell him about how much he enjoyed it.
Cruise managed to obtain a copy of The Flash, but it was no easy task, as insiders tell The Hollywood Reporter that a Warner Bros. Pictures employee brought the movie directly to Cruise’s home in Beverly Hills, and stayed there until Cruise was done watching the full movie.
It has not been revealed whether Cruise watched The Flash digitally or on film, however, regardless of what format Cruise managed to watch it on, he seems to absolutely love the DC superhero flick.
Will Tom Cruise Be Joining DC Anytime Soon?
Cruise is no stranger to the superhero genre, as he was almost cast as Tony Stark for the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the 2008 MCU movie, Iron Man. There is also the fact that Cruise has starred in over a dozen science-fiction movies, confessing his love for all genres of cinema throughout his career.
When Henry Cavill starred in the Tom Cruise-led Mission Impossible series as one of the major antagonists in Mission Impossible – Fallout, Cruise on many occasions would refer to Cavill as Superman when promoting the movie.
It’s clear that Cruise is a fan of the superhero genre, especially with projects based on comics from Marvel and DC, which could lead to speculation that fans may still get to see Cruise appear in a future superhero project, however, for which studio would be up to Cruise to decide, unless he decides to dip his toes into multiple superhero franchises.
