Tom Holland has confirmed that Marvel Studios and Sony’s Spider-Man 4 has been put on hold amid the current WGA writers’ strike. This news comes shortly after Producer Amy Pascal’s update that nobody will be working on the Spider-Man: No Way Home sequel until the strike is resolved.
“Are we going to make another movie? Of course, we are, we’re in the process, but the writers strike, nobody is working during the strike. We’re all being supporters and whenever they get themselves together, we’ll get started.”

Tom Holland Provides Spider-Man 4 Update
While talking to Variety at the New York premiere for his upcoming Apple TV+ series The Crowded Room, Holland confirmed Pascal’s recent update on the sequel’s development status. He also took to add the fact that the movie is in the “very early stages” of development.
“I can’t talk about that, but I can say that we have been having meetings. We’ve put the meetings on pause in solidarity with the writers, there’s been multiple conversations had, but at this point it’s very, very early stages.”

Plot and additional casting details for Marvel Studios and Sony’s Spider-Man 4 are unknown at this point in time due to how early in development it is. Tom Holland and Zendaya are both set to return as Peter Parker aka Spider-Man and Michelle “MJ” Jones. Further casting has yet to be announced.
Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man 4 has not scheduled a release date as of writing this article.
