The first official look at Dumb Money, the movie inspired by the GameStop short squeeze that occurred in January of 2021, has been revealed.
Starring in Dumb Money includes Myha’la Herrold, Anthony Ramos, Pete Davidson, Shailene Woodley, Seth Rogen, Clancy Brown, Vincent D’Onofrio, Sebastian Stan, Paul Dano, Dane DeHaan, Nick Offerman, America Ferrera, Kate Burton, with Rushi Kota, and Talia Ryder, among others.
Paul Dano stars as Keith Gill aka the YouTuber known as Roaring Kitty who originally lead the chaos between GameStop short squeeze.
Pete Davidson stars alongside Dano’s Keith Gill as his brother Kevin, this first-look image is described as the two figuring out how they ” suddenly became powerbrokers.”
Shailene Woodley stands side to Dano’s Keith Gill as Caroline.
America Ferrera stars as a nurse called Jenny Campbell, somebody who is described as being eager to make some money and upend the system.
Hamilton‘s Anthony Ramos stars as a GameStop employee called Marcos, set to make a big wad of money from his company stock purchases.
Seth Rogen stars as hedge fund manager Gabe Plotkin in Dumb Money. Rogen describes him as a “kind of” villain of the story.
“I don’t know if he’s a villain, he kind of is, but the stakes aren’t as high for him as the victims of his villainy.”
