According to Deadline‘s sources, production on Daredevil: Born Again has been suspended for the rest of this week. It is unclear when filming will resume. Production for the series halted due to the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike. A targeted picketing campaign by WGA East was what resulted in this pause during filming.
Production for the series began on March 6, and it is now 2 months into an 8-month shoot, expected to conclude by November 15 this year. Matt Corman and Chris Ord, writers for the show, are no longer on set due to the WGA strike.
This isn’t the only Marvel Studios’ production halted due to the WGA strike. Wonder Man, a series directed by Daniel Destin Cretton, had to pause filming due to the west faction of the WGA picketing in Los Angeles.
‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Actors Spotted
Twitter user @jadames1775 shared new images of Vincent D’Onofrio and Sandrine Holt on the set of Daredevil: Born Again.
Vincent D’Onofrio is seen sporting a suit and wearing an intimidating look on his face while holding what seems to be a script.
Sandrine Holt is dressed in casual wear, and carries a bad full of belongings. It is not known whether this is Sandrine filming for the series, or just on set. The latter is more likely to be true since production has been paused for the past two days.
Who Is Sandrine Holt Playing In ‘Daredevil: Born Again’?
Sandrine Holt plays Vanessa Fisk, wife of Wilson Fisk (played by Vincent D’Onofrio). The character was previously portrayed by Ayelet Zurer in the first and third seasons of the Netflix Daredevil series. Further details regarding the character are currently under wraps.
Daredevil: Born Again is slated to release during Spring 2024.
