[UPDATE – July 12 at 23:51 BST] The “Vought” TikTok account believed to be managed by the marketing team for Prime Video’s The Boys series has been revealed to be a fake.

It wasn’t too long ago that Homelander from The Boys was rumoured to be joining NetherRealm Studios’ Earthrealm in this year’s Mortal Kombat 1.

Amazon Italy then later revealed the news early, seemingly by accident before quickly taking the information down, that Homelander would be a playable character included in the game’s first DLC pack entitled “Kombat Pack 1”.
Homelander will also be joining the Call of Duty franchise this year on July 16 along with fellow The Boys characters Starlight and Black Noir, who all belong to the Seven.
Vought Confirms Homelander’s For Mortal Kombat 1
While promoting the upcoming Homelander and Call of Duty collab, The Boys-adjacent TikTok account “Vought International Studios” confirmed the recent reveal.

Responding to a comment in regard to if fans can expect to see Homelander join Mortal Kombat, Vought simply confirmed by saying “MK confirmed”.
However, this news has yet to be officially confirmed by NetherRealm Studios, along with the first look at their Homelander not yet being revealed.
Omni-man Vs. Homelander In Mortal Kombat
Along with the recent Amazon Italy reveal that Homelander will be in Mortal Kombat 1 came the additional info that Omni-Man from Invincible will also be included.
The two characters have often been paired against each other in fan fiction and theories as to who would come out on top.

Something that will potentially be brought to life soon upon the release of the first DLC pack for NetherRealm’s upcoming Mortal Kombat game.
Mortal Kombat 1 is scheduled to release on Sept. 19, 2023, for PlayStation®5 (PS5™), Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch™, and PC.
