J.K. Simmons’ Omni-Man from the hit animated series Invincible has just been treated to an official gameplay trailer for NetherRealm Studios’ 2023 fighting video game Mortal Kombat 1 – where players can play as the character.
The new trailer showcases plenty of Omni-Man’s gameplay skills, ending with another look at his gore-filled brutal fatality cutscene that players are able to activate after winning a fight with another opponent.
Omni-Man shares two major spotlights as the second season of Invincible premieres tomorrow November 3rd on Prime Video (read our early review of part one here), with both the animated series and game versions of the character being voiced by Spider-Man: No Way Home star Simmons.

Additionally, The Boys character Homelander who’s played by Antony Starr in the live-action Prime Video series is also set to become a playable DLC character in NetherRealm’s Mortal Kombat 1 game.
Fans of both Omni-Man and Homelander have pinned the two characters together in many debates to attempt to figure out which one would come out on top if the two were ever to get in a fight with one another.
Although Robert Kirkman teased at this year’s New York Comic Con that a crossover of some kind could happen, playing as the two characters in Mortal Kombat 1 may be the closest people can get – for now at least.
As of writing, Homelander has not yet been added to the game but has been confirmed to be a part of the first DLC “Kombat Pack 1”, the same pack that Omni-Man is included in — its characters just being released in stages.
