Deadline Hollywood reported Monday that Netflix is heading to Ireland in 2024 to film the highly anticipated second season of Wednesday, with details that production is eyed to begin in late April.

It’s detailed in the report that due to ‘logistical challenges’ being presented during the first season’s production in Romania, it had already been speculated that the second season would be heading to another locale to make things a little bit easier.

It’s currently unclear as to what the second season’s plot will be focusing on, with its full cast still not being announced since Netflix confirmed its renewal around 10 months ago.
Ortega will, of course, return to star as the titular Wednesday Addams – as well as becoming an official producer of the show, which means she will have more say in what happens with the development of the story.

Deadline reported in the aforementioned report that the “studio has extended the options on the main Season 1 actors while scripts are being written”.
Fans will just have to wait a little bit longer to see what Netflix has planned for the second season, as well as who will be returning and who will be joining for the first time.
Wednesday’s first season included cast members such as Ortega, Emma Myers, Percy Hynes White, Hunter Doohan, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Gwendoline Christie, Luis Guzmán, and Fred Armisen, among others.
It’s likely to expect fellow rising star Myers to return to the role of Enid Sinclair, who will also be able to watch as Pip Fitz-Amobi in the live-action series adaptation of Holly Jackson’s A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder.
