Another new season of Fortnite has arrived with Chapter 4 Season 4: Last Resort.
The vampire Kado Thorne has arrived on the island stealing all the wealth and treasures from the island.
He’s been able to fund some fancy estates on the island which are some of the new POIs that we’ll be getting into.
New & Returning Weapons
Just like with every Fortnite season, there are old weapons that have carried over, weapons that have been vaulted, weapons that have been unvaulted and of course, brand new weapons.
We’ll be going through all of these so you’re up to date with the loot you can find on the map. Firstly, here are the brand-new weapons:
This Business Turret is as explained, a turret hidden in a briefcase.
Once thrown, the turret will automatically lock onto nearby enemies and fire at them so you can throw it at random and still land some shots.
Be wary though, it’ll start to self-destruct if you’ve walked too far from it, so remember to pick it back up after use.
Now in Kado Thorne’s bases, there are walls with cracks in them and you could break them with a pickaxe or come in lavish Fortnite fashion and use the brand new Rocket Ram that will shoot you through any breakable walls.
They can also be used to attack players and they do deal some damage once you land back down on the ground, they’re the perfect way to escape any base or even a fight if things are getting too hot.
Infiltrator Pump Shotgun, Scoped Burst SMG & Twin Mag Assault Rifle
With this new season, a new shotgun, SMG and assault rife arrive in the form of the Infiltrator Pump Shotgun, the Scoped Burst SMG and the Twin Mag Assault Rifle.
Break into those bases with either of these weapons or take down your enemies from afar with the scoped weapons. The Twin Mag Assault Rifle has two magazines that switch around, which allows you to reload faster every other reload.
Heist Bags can be found inside the bases and have a chance of dropping the brand new Crash Pad Jr. which is just a smaller version of the Crash Pad that we’re used to.
They also have the chance of dropping the Remote Explosive which has been unvaulted for this season, the Rocket Ram, ammo, healing items and more.
Now here is a list of some mythic items that have returned thanks to Kado Thorne going back in time and stealing these items.
Gunna’s Stinger SMG
Zyg & Choppy’s Ray Gun
The Foundation’s MK-Seven Assualt Rifle
Ocean’s Bottomless Chug Jug
Kit’s Charge Shotgun
Kit’s Shockwave Launcher
Tntina’s Ka-Boom Bow
Midas’ Drum Gun
Finally, there are the unvaulted weapons and the ones carried over from the last season.
We already covered one of the unvaulted weapons which was the Remote Explosive, as said earlier, this can be found inside Heist Bags.
Here are the other two unvaulted weapons.
Suppressed Sniper Rifle
The Suppressed Pistol has now been reworked and is now a fully automatic weapon!
Here are the Chapter 4 Season 3 Carryovers:
- Sharp Tooth Shotgun
- Maven Auto Shotgun
- Havoc Suppressed Assault Rife
- Thermal DMR
- Combat SMG
- Heisted Breacher Shotgun (Exotic Weapon)
- Heisted Accelerant Shotgun (Exotic Weapon)
- Heisted Run ‘N’ Gun SMG (Exotic Weapon)
- Shadow Tracker (Exotic Weapon)
- Shockwave Grenades
New Vehicles & Augments
Epic Games has created a new vehicle for Fortnite to help escape these bases as fast as possible. The latest addition is the Nitro Fang by Victory Motors.
The Nitro Fang has many looks but the most recognisable one will be the pizza delivery car. The Nitro Fang is able to make lock-tight turns with the newly added handbrake.
This latest season of Fortnite introduces us to some new Reality Augments that will help your heist be smoother and go by faster.
On The Go Bag
Any container you open will have an item that would normally be in a Heist Bag.
Snipers give Siphon upon damaging enemies.
Not only grants ammo but also makes it so that enemies drop more ammo than usual.
Your Shotgun will deal increased damage on the first shot.
Your Pistols will have a reduced fire rate but increased damage.
Swim faster and instantly loot fishing spots when you swim through them.
With these new Reality Augments also come some returning ones to help you against the fight with Kado Thorne:
- Light Fingers
- First Assault
- Steady Hands
- SMG Sign Off
- More Parkour
- Rarity Check
- Sprint Lines
- Medium Ammo Acquired
- Mud Warrior
- Scope Salvo
Kado Thorne has been able to fund some really fancy real estates around the map and there are precisely three of them.
Each one is strongly defended with cameras around the entire base, laser grids and guards.
These estates are filled with valuable items such as the mythic items mentioned earlier. Each estate also has a boss for you to fight that will drop a mythic variant of a weapon.
Here are the three new major POIS run by Thorne:
Alongside these new POIs, we also have a new addition to the map. Forecast Towers have been placed around but be careful as there are guards at these towers.
Once defeating the head guard, he’ll drop a key card to download storm info off these towers which will give you and your team the knowledge of future storm circles.
The last final addition to this season is the brand-new Survivor Medals. These Medals have seven rarities, with ten medal upgrades per rarity. These rarities are Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Exotic and Mythic.
To upgrade each medal, you have to complete a survivor quest in Battle Royale or Zero Build, which challenges you to outlast a fixed number of opponents while getting a certain number of eliminations.
The higher your medal is, the harder the quests will be. The top survivors will receive the Mythic 1 medal!
Once you get the Common 1 medal, you’ll unlock the Prized Llama Back Bling. Get to the very top of the other rarities to unlock the other new styles for Prized Llama!
A new season of Fortnite means a new battle pass which means new skins. The pricing for the battle pass remains the same 950 V-Bucks for the battle pass and you can earn 1500 V-Bucks back from the battle pass.
You could also get the Crew Pass which will provide you with that season’s battle pass, 1000 V-Bucks and the Crew skin. This is the best method to get the battle pass as you’re paying slightly more for the extra additions.
Now onto this season’s battle pass. In this battle pass, we have our Heist Team who will be helping us this season steal from Kado Thorne who also appears in the battle pass. Also part of the Heist Team is influencer Khaby Lame.
Here’s a look at the Chapter 4 Season 4 Battle Pass Skins:
Like always, some of these skins will have bonus outfits that unlock after Tier 100 and Super Styles that unlock in a few weeks.
Now, these skins aren’t the only skins you can get in the battle pass. Later on in the season, you’ll be able to unlock the Warrior, Outcast, Rebel and Jedi.
That’s all there is to cover in Chapter 4 Season 4: Last Resort on its first week. As the weeks go by, we’ll drop major updates here at CoveredGeekly on any changes that take place during the season.
If you’re interested in the Storyline taking place in Fortnite then you can expect updates on that here as well. We’ll be taking a look into its Story from Pre Chapter 1, all the way to the start of Chapter 4 Season 4. Make sure to look out for that sometime next week!
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4: Last Resort is out now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series S/X, Nintendo Switch, PC Via Epic Games Store and Android
