Jack Quaid (Scream, The Boys) recently announced that he had a small part in Sony’s 2023 summer hit Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse. Attached to the announcement were no details in regard to his involvement which left his fans hungry for answers.
“Saw Spider-Verse. Loved Spider-Verse. I’m technically IN Spider-Verse (for like a second). Can’t say enough good things about this movie. It’s incredible. Congrats to the exceptionally talented team behind it.”

His role has now been revealed due to the Into The Spider-Verse sequel now being played in theatres worldwide. One detail that Quaid mentioned was that his part in the movie doesn’t last long. This is proven true as his voice can only be heard for a brief moment. However, his role overall is relatively major to both the franchise and a certain character’s backstory.

Who Jack Quaid Plays In Across The Spider-Verse
Jack Quaid plays none other than Peter Parker from Gwen Stacy’s original universe. The main Gwen Stacy voiced by Hailee Steinfeld and co-star to Shameik Moore’s Miles Morales.
Quaid’s role is short and is only seen during a flashback due to the fact that Gwen Stacy’s Peter Parker died. Something that is mentioned during Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse and again explored during the new sequel Across The Spider-Verse.

One interesting notion to Quaid being attached to provide such brief voicework is that this could be a setup for the 2024 three-quel Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse. It’s no secret that the Spider-Society who are a group of Spider-People variants from the multiverse. So it’s more than possible for Quaid to return to the role in the form of a variant of his now Peter Parker.
Will Jack Quaid Be In Sony’s Spider-Woman Movie?
Producer Avi Arad recently confirmed that an animated Spider-Woman spinoff movie is now in the works over at Sony Pictures. The movie itself will focus on Steinfeld’s Gwen Stacy aka the titular character who is often given the nickname Spider-Gwen or Ghost-Spider.
What makes Quaid’s brief involvement as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse the most intriguing is the fact that this spinoff is in the works. Nothing has been confirmed as of yet in terms of if Quaid will reprise the role for more flashbacks. However, it’s safe to assume that he has been cast or is at least desired to play the part of Gwen Stacy’s Peter Parker in the animated spinoff movie.
