Karan Soni debuted as Spider-Man India aka Pavitr Prabhakar in Sony’s Across the Spider-Verse, his second Marvel role after playing Dopinder in the Deadpool franchise.
Soni returns as Dopinder for the third time next year in Deadpool 3 alongside Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman who returns as Wolverine.

Since he now holds two popular roles in the ever-expanding Marvel multiverse, speculation has begun that Reynolds may drop some little references.
How the team behind Deadpool 3 would accomplish such a reference mostly is left to the imagination of Marvel fandom, a direct cameo from the animated character seems unlikely, however, a small easter egg or subtle namedrop would be easily done.
Karan Soni: Will Deadpool Reference Spider-Man India?
When talking to The Movie Dweeb about Miracle Workers: End Times, Soni got to respond to the fun idea that Deadpool could reference his Across the Spider-Verse character Pavitr Prabhakar in some capacity during Deadpool 3.
Interestingly, Soni’s response was that Reynolds and Deadpool 3 director Shawn Levy had actually gone to go see Across the Spider-Verse together, naturally.
The Movie Dweeb: “You know what I do want to see, I want to see Deadpool reference Spider-Man India in Deadpool 3.”
Soni: “Oh my gosh.”
The Movie Dweeb: “Surely, you can persuade Ryan [Reynolds] to do that?”
Soni: “I do know that Ryan [Reynolds] and Shawn [Levy] went to see the movie [Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse] in the theatre, in London, where they are working right now. So, they are aware of it, but I will not dare tell Mr. Ryan Reynolds what to do. I am a smart boy and I know that he is a smarter boy and whatever he does will be very good.”
