Thunderbolt Ross has appeared in the MCU for a total of 5 films, from The Incredible Hulk back in 2008, to Black Widow in 2021. We’ve seen the character go from being a U.S. Army General to the U.S. Secretary of State!
Wait, Harrison Ford Plays Thunderbolt Ross?
In case you’ve been living under a rock, let’s catch you up. A rumor that William Hurt’s Secretary Thunderbolt Ross will be recast with Harrison Ford has picked up the pace recently. It was corroborated by Jeff Sneider, Slashfilm, and Deadline. The Indiana Jones star is set to appear in Captain America: New World Order, and Thunderbolts. On the off-chance that someone doesn’t know why Secretary Ross would be recast, here’s the deal. To the dismay of many, William Hurt passed away earlier this year, in March.
Will Ross Become Red Hulk?
In an interview with Phase Zero host Brandon Davis, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Producer Nate Moore answered whether Harrison Ford’s Thunderbolt Ross would turn into Red Hulk in Julius Onah’s Captain America: New World Order. Here is what Nate replied:
“I think you’re going to have to wait and see, you know what I mean? But, Harrison Ford, we couldn’t be more excited. Obviously, when you have Han Solo, or Indiana Jones involved in your movie, it just raises the game. So we’re excited to see [Anthony] Mackie and Harrison Ford in scenes together. I think it’s going to be fantastic.”

The answer was very cryptic and thought-out, just like every other statement a Marvel executive has given.
