Hollywood's rising star Glen Powell recently revealed that he turned down a role in the upcoming Jurassic World 4, despite his long-professed love for the franchise.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Powell shared that he declined the role in Jurassic World because he wants to work on projects that resonate with him and his audience.
Powell explained, “Jurassic is one of my favourite movies… I'm not doing that movie because… my presence in this movie doesn't help it.”

The actor's decision comes as a shock, especially considering his previous voice work for the franchise in ‘Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous'.
However, Powell's focus seems to be on carving out a path that aligns with his artistic vision and the happiness of his fans. He has been gaining traction in Hollywood with standout roles in Top Gun: Maverick and the anticipated Twisters.
As for Jurassic World 4, the film is set to be a reboot of the beloved ‘Jurassic Park' series, directed by Gareth Edwards.
The plot remains tightly under wraps, but the cast is confirmed to include Jonathan Bailey, Scarlett Johansson, and Rupert Friend.
With a script penned by original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp, expectations are high for a return to the thrilling essence of the original films.
Jurassic World 4 is expected to roar into theaters on July 2, 2025.
