Dune Part Two star Florence Pugh made her MCU debut as Natasha Romanoff's adoptive sister in the 2021 movie Black Widow. After that, she played a major role in three episodes of Hawkeye, and instantly became a fan-favorite character.
Pugh is set to portray the character as the lead in the upcoming team-up movie Thunderbolts, in which she will lead the ragtag group of misfits throughout the course of the movie.

The introduction of the Thunderbolts is a significant milestone in the MCU. This team of antiheroes is expected to bring a new perspective to the world of superheroes, challenging conventional ideas of heroism and morality.
The cast of the movie includes Florence Pugh as Yelena Boleva, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Harbour as Red Guardian, and Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent.
Other cast members include Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster.

“Hey guys, how are you doing? I know I've dropped off for a little bit, but that's partially because I was whisked off to Atlanta to shoot a movie that I'm not really supposed to talk about,” Pugh said.
Pugh went on to say, “But I can show you things, sneakily, as long as you don't tell anyone…I can show you a sneak peek of the set. They're shooting. I'll be quiet now.”

A crew chair on the set revealed the movie's supposed new title to be “Thunderbolts*”, an asterisk added to the original title. This has led fans to speculate about what the asterisk in the title means.
Pugh also revealed a first look at her combat suit in the movie, alongside what seems to be a production still from a scene featuring her.
The movie, directed by Jake Schreier, centres on villains and antiheroes going on a mission that was supposed to end with their deaths.

While specific details about the plot of Thunderbolts remain a closely guarded secret, there is no doubt that Florence Pugh's portrayal will be nothing short of extraordinary.
Thunderbolts* is set to hit theaters on May 2, 2025.
