The next character-centric Disney+ series that has been brewing since 2021's WandaVision is finally coming very soon thanks to a new developmental update from Marvel Studios!
According to Variety, Paul Bettany will be returning as Vision in a new Disney+ series that will be helmed by Star Trek: Picard executive producer Terry Matalas.

Originally, the series was going to be developed by WandaVision‘s Jac Schaeffer.
However, it appears that Schaeffer has left the project in order to focus on Agatha All Along, which also follows up on WandaVision‘s conclusion.
However, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige was reportedly impressed with Matalas's handling of Picard‘s third season, even appearing with Matalas on the Inglorious Treksperts podcast.
As for the project itself, plot details remain under wraps as it gets deeper into development. However, eager Marvel fans hope that this is the promised Vision Quest project originally reported.
Originally reported by Deadline, Vision Quest has been in development since 2022 and confirmed Bettany's return to the MCU.
It would have followed the newly revitalized Vision at the end of WandaVision as he regained his memories.
Given how the show's plotline is laid out, Vision will also follow this synopsis and may also likely continue adapting events from the comic series of the same name.

In the comic book series, written by writer/artist John Byrne, saw the West Coast Avengers and the Scarlet Witch trying to help Vision gain his memories only to get their friend back at a high cost.
While Bettany is confirmed to return, the story itself is deeply connected to Wanda Maximoff. Given her disappearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it might be unlikely that Elizabeth Olsen may fully return.
Marvel Studios' Vision series does not have a tentative release date.
