When Does Werewolf By Night Take Place In The MCU?

Michael Giacchino’s directorial debut in the MCU, Werewolf By Night, stands out as the most brutal MCU project yet. It has already been compared to horror classics such as ‘The Twilight Zone’. Fans have been speculating on the canonicity of this series, given its retro look. However, Kevin Feige stated that Marvel was “introducing a world that will ultimately become quite important to the future of the MCU.”

The synopsis further confirms its MCU canonicity by stating:

“On a dark and somber night, a secret cabal of monster hunters emerge from the shadows and gather at the foreboding Bloodstone Temple following the death of their leader. In a strange and macabre memorial to the leader’s life, the attendees are thrust into a mysterious and deadly competition for a powerful relic- a hunt that will ultimately bring them face to face with a dangerous monster. “

“Inspired by horror films of the 1930s and 1940s, the chilling special aims to evoke a sense of dread and the macabre, with plenty of suspense and scares along the way as we explore a new corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.“

Werewolf By Night’s MCU Timeline Confirmed

Once Werewolf By Night premiered on Disney+, fans started to wonder where this special presentation takes place in the MCU. Although it takes inspiration from the 30s/40s horror classics, you’ll be surprised when you learn when the event is placed timeline-wise.

Werewolf By Night is indeed present in the MCU Phase 4 section, right after She-Hulk.
