Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 has been officially confirmed to be in the pipeline.
According to Variety, writer-director Rhys Frake-Waterfield and producer Scott Chambers have officially announced the development of the third film in the horror series, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey.
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 is slated to have a higher budget compared to its predecessors and will introduce new characters from the original Winnie-the-Pooh stories, such as Rabbit, the heffalumps, and the woozles, each with a dark twist.
Despite the first film facing poor reviews, it soared at the box office and became a cultural sensation.
This success paved the way for the second film in the slasher franchise.
Recently released Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2, has garnered a better reception in the horror genre, with some critics noting improvements over its predecessor.
The sequel follows Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Owl as they embark on a murderous rampage through Christopher Robin's childhood town, seeking revenge on him for revealing their existence to the world.
Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is helmed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield and written by Matt Leslie.
Apart from Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 3, a new crossover film titled Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble is scheduled for release in 2025. It will feature twisted versions of characters from various franchises, including those from Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey.
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 does not have a release date yet.
