Swedish Actress who played Lara Croft in the reboot of Tomb Raider in 2018 who was originally played by Angelina Jolie, has shared her thoughts on returning.
During an interview with The Independent series “Go to Bat” for her new drama movie Firebrand alongside Jude Law, the interviewer expressed that they thought “Tomb Raider deserved more love.”
They added that they “were sad to read she wouldn’t be returning” to the role.
To which the actress replied with “me too”, revealing that she would have returned to play Lara Croft if a Tomb Raider 2 movie had moved forward.
She added that she “had so much fun” during her time filming her first Tomb Raider movie.
Vikander has previously expressed that she was profoundly upset over the cancellation of the franchise.
Despite the reboot earning $274 million at the box office, this wasn’t enough for MGM to want to continue with the movies.
The public had mixed reviews of the actual movie but had high praises for Alicia’s portrayal of the character.
