Arnold Schwarzenegger is a proud dad, and he’s not shy about celebrating his son Patrick’s acting career, even when it involves a nude scene.
Patrick Schwarzenegger is set to star in The White Lotus season three, which takes the hit HBO series to Thailand.
He joins a star-studded cast, including Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Aimee Lou Wood, and Walton Goggins.
Patrick plays Saxon Ratliff, the eldest child of characters played by Isaacs and Posey, and his role comes with some steamy moments.
At the show’s premiere, Arnold took to Instagram to praise his son, joking about Patrick’s on-screen nudity.
He wrote, “I was so pumped to take a break from filming to celebrate @patrickschwarzenegger at The White Lotus season three premiere.”
He added, “What a show!”
“I could claim to be surprised to find out he has a nude scene, but what can I say – the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”
“Don’t miss it this Sunday – trust me.”
Arnold Schwarzenegger was referencing his own frequent nude scenes, which became a staple of his time in The Terminator franchise.
He has also appeared with minimal clothing in other films like Stay Hungry (1976), Conan the Barbarian (1982), and Twins (1988).
Talking about his own nude scenes in The White Lotus, Patrick Schwarzenegger admitted, “There are some uncomfortable conversations between us in the bed that are a little weird to show in front of your family.
“Episodes five and six, there will be some times that I take some bathroom breaks from the family, or maybe I won’t watch that episode.”
He is not the only one showing some skin in the upcoming third season.
Jason Isaacs and Sam Nivola, who play his father and younger brother Lochlan, also have a few risqué scenes.
Patrick Schwarzenegger’s role in The White Lotus has certainly got people talking, but not everyone loves what they see.
“What creeps me out about this trio [the Ratliff siblings] is that I can’t decide who is the creep. The vibe check is all over the place. Is she preying on the younger brother?” one wrote on X.
“Did the older brother prey on her?”
“Is the younger brother preying on both? Mike White, what have you DONE?”
Others were quick to single out Patrick’s character as particularly disturbing.
“Patrick Schwarzenegger, congrats on somehow becoming the creepiest White Lotus character ever within the first episode,” another added.
“Seeing Patrick Schwarzenegger’s scene in The White Lotus…” a third chimed in.
