Chris Hemsworth might be used to blockbuster sets and playing a literal god, but even he gets a little jittery sometimes, especially when Halle Berry is involved.
The Thor star opened up about working with Berry on their new film, Crime 101, while attending Amazon MGM Studios’ presentation at CinemaCon 2025 earlier this month.
Speaking to E! News, Hemsworth admitted he felt “intimidated” heading into their first scenes together.

He said, “I’ve admired Halle’s work for many, many years. I was obviously very intimidated to sit opposite her within a scene and try and, you know, not just be in awe of what she was doing.”
Luckily, Berry made things easier for him once filming began. Hemsworth said she created a relaxed and collaborative atmosphere on set.
He added, “Certain people just bring out not just the best in you, but also sort of a comfort level… and that was the experience [with Berry]. I loved every second of it.”
Berry had equally high praise for Hemsworth, calling him “one of my new favourite people in the whole wide world.”
She went on to share how Hemsworth had her back during a tense moment behind the scenes.

She said, “I won’t go into it now but he stood up for me in a moment in our movie.”
“Instantly, I knew right then I’m gonna follow this guy, be a fan of this guy for the rest of his life because he stood up for a woman. He didn’t have to do it and he did it.”
Hemsworth responded simply with, “Back at ya.”
Set for a 2026 release, Crime 101 is based on Don Winslow’s novella of the same name.
In the film, Hemsworth plays Davis, a master jewel thief, while Berry stars as an insurance broker who gets caught up in his latest heist. Mark Ruffalo also appears in the film as an LAPD detective tracking the case.
The cast also includes Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Tate Donovan, Devon Bostick, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Nick Nolte.
