Brand new set images from Marvel Studios’ Daredevil: Born Again have made their way online, with details confirming that filming will be taking place next week in Harlem, New York. These new images come from the Instagram user The Curious Uptowner who is known for posting both old and new images from Harlem, recently spotting “NO PARKING” signs for an upcoming “FILM SHOOT”, with the project name “OUT OF THE KITCHEN”, which is the project name for Daredevil: Born Again. Filming for the 2024 MCU Disney Plus series is currently taking place in Yonkers of New York, with plans to head to the new location next Monday.
What’s most interesting about this location being used for the new Daredevil series is that Harlem is the home to various Daredevil allies, from both the Netflix run and in the comics. Luke Cage is the main character, who is known for being the hero of Harlem, with other characters such as Jessica Jones, Misty Knight, and Iron Fist also having strong connections to this location in various adaptations. There have been many rumours over the past year that Mike Colter and Krysten Ritter will be returning to reprise their Netflix-Marvel roles, and with the recent announcement of Jon Bernthal’s involvement in the show as the Punisher, it’s safe to assume that anything is possible at this point for the 18-episode series.
‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Harlem Set Images
In the image above, the “NO PARKING” sign confirms that filming in Harlem will begin on Monday the 13th of March, and will start at 6:00 am, nice and early.
This next image reveals another notice sign for the upcoming film shoot, with location details as to where citizens should refrain from parking, due to these locations being used during the film shooting slots.
Pop’s Barber Shop from Netflix’s Luke Cage was interestingly located close to this new filming location for Daredevil: Born Again, which could heavily imply that this could very well be Luke Cage-related. However, no details on what will actually be filmed next week have been announced, just that filming will indeed take place in Harlem starting on the 13th of March at 6 am.
Daredevil: Born Again is coming to Disney Plus sometime in 2024, but a release date has not yet been announced.
