The latest horror hit that came to cinemas July 2024 has been given the title of “most disturbing” by fans and critics.
In a violent nature directed by Chris Nash, the film contrasts usual slasher films with its unique style of being in the killers point of view.
Viewers get to see the murders first-hand, with the film being set at a picturesque national park.

The synopsis reads: “When a group of teens takes a locket from a collapsed fire tower in the woods, they unwittingly resurrect the rotting corpse of Johnny, a vengeful spirit spurred on by a horrific 60-year-old crime.”
“The undead killer soon embarks on a bloody rampage to retrieve the stolen locket, methodically slaughtering anyone who gets in his way.”
Many fans praised the film’s innovative style, having plenty of positive things to say about it.
“I love horror movies, but this film traumatized me, it will stick with me for the rest of my life.”
“A sickening blend of straight-up slasher with a mediation on violence as an instinctual baseline.”
“From a horror fan’s point of view, this is an absolutely fascinating experiment with form.”
“It’s a classic slasher flick that’s suspenseful, clever, and innovative in its storytelling.”

Nash shared how they didn’t have the biggest budget when making the film, however it could work to their advantage.
“We tried to treat it almost like making a nature documentary where we’re just following something, or following a letter carrier at work, just going from house to house.”
As per Film Updates, an audience member allegedly threw up during one of the scenes during the Chicago Critics Film Festival; however, this hasn’t been proven.
The film stars Ryan Barrett, Charlotte Creaghan, Andrea Pavlovic, and Cameron Love.
In a Violent Nature is currently streaming on Prime Video and Apple TV+.
