The much-awaited official trailer for James Gunn’s upcoming Superman film has finally dropped.
There had been speculation about the trailer released in mid-December, and Gunn confirmed on Monday that it would indeed debut this week.

Earlier, Gunn also released a motion poster for the film, accompanied by a nostalgic theme song reminiscent of Christopher Reeve’s Superman (1978).
Superman, which is set to kickstart a new era for the revamped DCU, is slated for release in July 2025.
Producer Peter Safran has described this version of Superman as “the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way; he’s kindness in a world that thinks of kindness as old fashioned.”
Back in October, Gunn revealed to the New York Comic Con crowd that “David Corenswet is going to blow people the fuck away.”
He added, “He is the movie star that everyone just dreams he could possibly be.”
“I don’t think anyone really understands the depth of this guy’s talent, dramatically, comedically, he’s the best physical action star I’ve probably ever worked with.”
“He’s an amazing actor, and Rachel Brosnahan, people are going to die for her as well.”
The cast of the new Superman film features David Corenswet as Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Isabela Merced as Kendra Saunders, Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, and Nicholas Hoult as the infamous villain Lex Luthor.
As seen in the trailer, Krypto the Superdog is also set to make its live-action debut in the movie.
James Gunn’s Superman is set to storm into theatres on July 11, 2025.
