The White Lotus actress Alexandra Daddario previously spoke up about starring in HBO’s True Detective and filming her highly-talked-about nude scene.

The Percy Jackson And The Lightning Thief star made waves when she played Lisa Tragnetti in the first season of the hit series.

In one infamous scene, Daddario bared it all while filming a scene with Zombieland actor Woody Harrelson, who played Detective Marty Hart.

Her character’s big scene, which included her handcuffing Harrelson before straddling him and removing her clothes to reveal it all on camera, is still talked about to this day.

While talking with Men’s Journal, Daddario revealed that she was genuinely surprised by how much attention her raunchy scene garnered worldwide.

“I have a lot of thoughts on this topic,” she began.

“For example, when True Detective came out and I was naked on the show – it was huge for my career,” she continued.

“The phone was ringing and I got some work off of it,” she revealed.

While claiming that she had never been aware of her “sex appeal” prior to starring in True Detective, she admitted that she knew it would be good for her career.

“I think that I hadn’t been that aware of my sex appeal prior to that.”

“I tried not to take it too seriously,” she added.

“I really love acting,” she explained.

“In my heart, I’m just a theatre nerd, and I sort of took that and said, ‘This is good for my career,’ and embraced it.”

Her physical presence may have become the talk of the town, in a positive way, but Daddario expressed hope that audiences would still recognise her acting ability.

“I really love what I do.”

“I happen to have a lot of fun with getting dressed up and playing roles, and even on red carpets, I’m kind of playing a role.”

“It’s great, it’s fun, but I think it can be negative, some of the attention, and so I try to ignore some of the more negative aspects of it.”

Since True Detective, Daddario has gone on to star in many big hits alongside fellow high-profile Hollywood stars such as Dwayne Johnson in San Andreas and Zac Efron in Baywatch.
