Mike Tyson makes shocking claim he ‘blanked out’ while fighting Jake Paul during boxing event

"I don't remember the fight..."

Mike Tyson recently opened up about his fight with Jake Paul, which has caused a stir in the boxing world.

The 58-year-old former heavyweight champion admitted he barely remembers the match, saying he “blanked out” during the fight.

The bout, which took place last month at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, was streamed live on Netflix, drawing an audience of over 60 million viewers.

Despite the massive hype, the fight ended in disappointment for Tyson’s fans.

Over the course of eight rounds, Tyson landed just 18 punches, ultimately losing to Paul by unanimous decision with judges scoring it 80-72, 79-73, and 79-73.

Speaking candidly on Fox Sports Radio, Tyson opened up about his confusion during the fight.

“I don’t remember the fight that much; I kind of blanked out a little”, he said.

The former champion recalled that after the first round, his only clear memory was seeing Paul “doing some kind of sh*t. I don’t know what he was doing,” he said, leaning forward to mimic a bow.

“And that’s the last thing I remember.”

After the fight, Tyson was left physically sore, complaining of chest and stomach pain.

Reflecting on his decision to return to the ring after nearly 20 years away from professional boxing, he questioned his own reasoning.

He shared, “The day after, I woke up and said to my wife, ‘Why did I do that? I just don’t know what the hell was going on.’”

When asked about how the fight affected his body and whether he thought Paul was powerful.

Tyson responded, “I don’t remember it. But my body was really sore [after the fight]. My chest, my stomach was really sore.”

Tyson’s comeback had already raised concerns about his health. Earlier this year, he faced a serious health issue that required multiple blood transfusions and significant weight loss.

Despite these challenges, Tyson expressed gratitude for the chance to fight again, especially since it allowed his children to see him in action for the first time.

In a reflective post-fight statement, Tyson found a silver lining.

He said in an Instagram post, “This is one of those situations where you lose but still win.”

“To have my children see me stand toe-to-toe and go eight rounds with a skilled fighter half my age is an experience no man has the right to ask for.”
