Sam Claflin has responded to ongoing speculation about his potential return as Oswald Mosley in the upcoming Peaky Blinders film, The Immortal Man.
Fans of the BBC period drama have been eagerly awaiting news about the film spin-off, which will see Cillian Murphy reprise his role as Tommy Shelby, alongside returning cast members Sophie Rundle, Stephen Graham and Ned Dennehy.
Will Oswald Mosley be in the Peaky Blinders film?

Claflin made his debut in Peaky Blinders season five as British fascist leader Oswald Mosley and played a key role in the show’s last two seasons.
His story wrapped up in the season six finale, where Mosley marries Diana Mitford (played by Amber Anderson) in Germany.
Speaking to Metro while promoting his upcoming lead role in a new adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo, Claflin confirmed that he won’t be returning in the role for the upcoming movie.
He said, “I don’t know that I should not say anything, and keep the speculation going… but no, sadly, I’ll share – I’m not in the film, though I’m so excited as a fan of the series.
The actor added he only knows about the casting and a few details surrounding the project, but remains enthusiastic about seeing how it unfolds.
When asked if he’d ever return to the role in future, Claflin seemed open to the idea, “The hope is that he is still alive. Well, I mean, Oswald Mosley lived until 84.”
“He is still alive in the world, whether or not he’s a part of the world.”
Time jump could see WW2 setting

Claflin also admitted that the film could take place in a post-war setting, hinting that the character’s influence may have waned by then.
He went on, “I’ve heard rumours similar that [the film is] set in the future.”
“I think Oswald Mosley kind of started losing light and his following during the war.”
The highly anticipated Peaky Blinders movie is expected to take place during World War II, sometime between 1939 and 1945.
Creator Steven Knight has hinted that it’ll center around an “untold story” from the war, one that the Peaky Blinders will be caught up in.
