The next instalment in the Terrifier franchise is gearing up for its release next month.
Actor Daniel Roebuck, who plays Santa in Terrifier 3, recently revealed that a scene involving his character is so extreme that the filmmakers couldn’t even use him to shoot it.
In a recent interview with LadBible, Roebuck spilt some beans on his character in the film.

He said, “What happens to me is so extreme that they couldn’t use me to do it – they had to have other versions of me to take my place in the horror show.”
He went on to describe the scene which involves him and two other characters interacting with Art the Clown and hinted at a grim fate for his character.
Roebuck said, “It’s three of us interplaying with Art [the Clown]. And, primarily, I guess me, interplaying with Art, the other two are dispatched quickly, and I’m the one who lasts the longest.”
He also added, “Yeah, and that’s not for the best for the character, you know, like the character could have taken the easy way out.”

This comes amid other teasers about Terrifier 3’s extreme content.
Director Damien Leone recently tweeted about filming “one of the most insanely horrific scenes of the Terrifier franchise,” which apparently nearly made Art the Clown actor David Howard Thornton vomit – a first for the seasoned horror performer.
Leone has previously warned that the first five minutes of Terrifier 3 will be “very controversial” and that Art the Clown’s “reign of terror” in this instalment will be even more extreme than in Terrifier 2.
The Terrifier franchise is known for its graphic violence and gore. Terrifier 2 reportedly caused some viewers to faint or vomit in theatres.
While Roebuck didn’t reveal any plot details, promotional materials for Terrifier 3 suggest a grim fate for his Santa Claus character.
One poster shows Art the Clown wearing what appears to be Santa’s face as a necklace – a disturbing image that aligns with the franchise’s reputation for graphic violence.
The official description for Terrifier 3 is as follows:
“In the third instalment of Damien Leone‘s breakout horror film, Art the Clown is set to unleash chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.”
Terrifier 3 is set to hit theaters on October 25, 2024.
