Alec Baldwin sparks rare reactions after his wife scoulds him for ‘talking when she was talking’ during interview

Hilaria Baldwin recently called out her husband, Alec Baldwin, during a red-carpet interview after he repeatedly interrupted her while speaking to the press.

The couple were hosting the reopening event for Planet Hollywood in Times Square, where ExtraTV asked them about the future of their Max reality show The Baldwins. 

When Hilaria paused before answering, Alec chimed in with a joke, saying, “The Hilaria Show.”

Brushing off the comment, Hilaria continued, “I think we’re gonna see.”

“I think we’re gonna see how it feels to be out there.”

But Alec jumped in again, adding, “It’s gonna be great!”

“You’re a winner.”

That’s when Hilaria turned to him and said, “Oh my god.”

“When I’m talking, you’re not talking.”

As Alec apologized, she doubled down, “When I’m talking, you’re not talking.”

Facing the camera, Hilaria then laughed, “This is why, yes.”

“We’ll have to just cut him out of the show.”

Alec briefly stepped aside while Hilaria explained the show’s intent.

She said, “This is a really raw show, and it’s very real, and we took a lot of chances, and I think we’ll see where it leads us.”

“We’ll see what it feels like to be out there, and then we’ll see if they like it — that’s another thing too.”

The clip, shared on TikTok, sparked backlash among viewers, with several calling Hilaria’s behaviour “rude” and “disrespectful” toward her husband.

“She is very rude to her husband in front of everyone,” one commenter wrote.

Another one added, “Wow! That was incredibly rude, she just showed her true colors.”

Despite the backlash, the couple addressed the situation lightheartedly on social media.

Alec took to Instagram to clarify that Hilaria was “only joking” and added that he was “grateful to be the nicer half for a change.”

Hilaria also weighed in on the incident in a separate Instagram post last week, describing the exchange as a moment of “manterrupting” and jokingly labelling it “correctile dysfunction.”

Hilaria, 41, and Alec, 66, have been married since 2012 and share seven children. Alec also has an adult daughter, Ireland, from his previous marriage to Kim Basinger.

The Baldwins, now streaming on Max, follows the family’s day-to-day life between their Manhattan home and summer house in East Hampton.

Speaking about the challenges of unscripted TV, Alec told ExtraTV, “It’s oh so hard… If you showed the way our life really is, you’d get it after like an hour. It’s the same thing a lot.”

“I mean, not just with the two of us and our life, but with the kids. We like routine; it’s good for the kids to have a routine.”

The Baldwins was filmed prior to Alec’s upcoming trial over the 2021 Rust shooting, which resulted in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
