Actress Kaley Cuoco, most known for her role as Penny in The Big Bang Theory, previously opened up about having to film raunchy scenes on screen with her ex.

Her ex-partner, Johnny Galecki, played Leonard on the CBS show, one of the main stars and fictional experimental physicist.

The stars began dating whilst on the show from 2008-2010, their on-screen characters went on to later get married and start a family.

The pair split on mutual terms and remained friends even after the show ended, however, the circumstances did lead to them having to do some awkward raunchy scenes.

In a 2020 interview with Dax Shepard on his Armchair Expert podcast, Cuoco reflected back on her time during the show with Galecki.

“When we broke up, obviously it was a little sensitive for a minute,” she said.

“But I remember those weeks that Chuck had written these episodes where all of a sudden our characters were like sleeping together every other second.”

“Johnny and I talk about it and I think Chuck did that on purpose… just to f**k with us,” she said while laughing.

“If I was with Chuck now, I would ask him, because that came out of nowhere.”

“All of a sudden these characters were all up on each other.”

Cuoco opened up on his first time meeting Galecki, adding she had quite a crush on the co-star.

“We dated really early on for almost two years. When we did the pilot, I was crushing so hard on Galecki, but he had a girlfriend.”

“We got together and just fell mad for each other for two years, but then we broke up.”

“Luckily, Johnny and I came out of it so brilliantly and we’re closer today than we ever were,” she concluded.

The Charmed actress later went on to date Ozark actor Tom Pelphrey in 2022 and welcomed their daughter named Matilda in March 2023.

The couple then got engaged just over a year after the arrival of their daughter on a carousel post on Instagram captioned,

“‘There is my heart, and then there is you, and I’m not sure there is a difference.’ Some sweet life lately.”
