Emma Watson once admitted that she had a “terrible crush” on her Harry Potter co-star in the early days of filming the movies.
The 34-year-old actress, best known for playing Hermione, shared the confession during a reunion special titled Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, where the cast reflected on their experiences working together.
In an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show, while reflecting on her early experiences on set, Watson mentioned that she had a strong attraction to Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy.
Felton, who is older than Watson, portrayed Harry’s nemesis throughout most of the books and films.

Watson confessed, “Between the ages of ten and twelve – I had a really terrible crush on Tom Felton.”
“To the extent that I would go into work in the morning and look down the numbers on the call sheet to see if he was going to be in.”
She continued, “We love a bad guy, and he was a few years older and he had a skateboard, and that just did it really. He used to do tricks on it. He was so cool. He totally knew (I had a crush).”
She also added, “And the thing is, he’d turn and go, ‘Oh, I see her in a younger, sisterly way’. And it just broke my heart, still does.”
Despite never dating, both Watson and Felton have spoken fondly about their bond and the special connection they formed while working on the iconic film series.

Both actors maintain that they have always shared a deep and platonic friendship.
Emma mentioned to US magazine that she and Tom have now become close friends.
She said, “He totally knows. We talked about it, we still laugh about it. We are really good friends now, and that’s cool.”
In response to her comments, Felton told E! News, “It was very flattering for a 12-year-old boy, but it’s nice that we’ve become friends since then, and we can kind of look back and have a laugh at it.”
When asked if he had a crush on Watson during their Harry Potter days, Tom responded, “We were always very close, but no, nothing of that nature. Sorry to disappoint.”
