NOTHING ever stays dead on Supernatural.
Jared Padalecki has spoken out on his upcoming appearance on Prime Video’s final season of The Boys, a series led by Supernatural creator Eric Kripke.
Although his role in the show is being kept tight in Homelander’s vault, Padalecki confirms he will be “sharing the screen” with his former co-stars Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins.
He has also shared that he does not doubt that Supernatural will return.
Padalecki offered some new updates while appearing at a recent convention with his former co-star Mark Sheppard, who famously played Crowley in the beloved series.
“Would you say that this appearance on the upcoming season of The Boys is officially unofficially Supernatural Season 16?” they were jokingly asked.
“I am afraid that Jeff Bezos will come repelling down [if I spoil anything] because he owns Amazon,” Padalecki jokingly responded.
“But no, no, it’s not.”
“[The Boys Season 5] is going to be great,” he added.
“We, I don’t know exactly what’s going on yet,” he admitted.
“It’s still terrifying.”
Padalecki went on to share how seeing Rob Benedict, who played Supernatural‘s Chuck Shurley/God, on The Boys Season 4, prepared him for the horrors that he could potentially be set to face.
“We’ve all seen Rob’s scenes… so, even before the contract was signed, I [called my mother and] I was like, ‘Hey, mom, I’m going to be doing something.'”
“‘Don’t watch it.'”
“I’m going to go on the iPad and delete [Prime Video],” he joked.
“We’re going to have fun.”
“You know, it’s been announced that Jensen [Ackles] and Misha [Collins] and I are all going to be sharing the screen together,” he went on to reaffirm before sprinkling a Supernatural tease.
“I still… I still deeply want to and believe that we will do another Supernatural [series],” he concluded.
