Jason Derulo once seemingly ‘knocked his teeth out’ while attempting a viral TikTok trend involving an electric drill and a corn on the cob.
The singer, known for sharing fun dance videos with his son and comedic skits with friends, often enjoys showing off on social media.
However, the 35-year-old regretted participating in a food-related TikTok challenge that almost cost him his two front teeth.

In May 2020, Derulo posted a video on TikTok in which he attached a piece of corn to the end of a drill, intending to eat it quickly by spinning it.
The video starts with Derulo holding an electric drill, to which a corn on the cob is attached.
Excitedly, he addresses the camera, saying, “Hey, have you all seen this? I’ve always wanted to try it! Lifehack.”
He proceeds to eat the spinning corn as the drill rotates, gradually increasing the speed.
About six seconds into his unique snack attempt, Derulo cries out in pain, lifting his head to show that he has chipped his front teeth.
The clip went viral, causing concern among fans.
However, many questioned the authenticity of the video, and they were right - Derulo later admitted it was just a prank, and his teeth were perfectly fine.
Interestingly, this wasn’t the first time the “Ridin’ Solo” singer had an incident involving his teeth. He once attempted a handstand by his pool, fell, and ‘broke’ a tooth, only to reveal later that it was a false tooth.
Derulo, who turned 35 yesterday, celebrated his birthday while performing at the DStv Delicious Festival in South Africa.
Jason Derulo’s latest album is titled Nu King, which was released in February 2024.
