Despite the ongoing speculation, Keanu Reeves is making it clear that he doesn’t see John Wick 5 happening.
Fans of the series were left questioning Wick’s fate at the end of John Wick: Chapter 4. The film strongly hinted at his death after he suffered fatal wounds in a duel and collapsed on the steps of the Sacré-Cœur in Paris.
However, the movie never explicitly confirmed his demise, leaving room for speculation.

In an interview with Extra, Reeves was asked if there were plans for more John Wick movies. He laughed and shut down the idea.
He said, “You know, the character’s dead.”
“He died in John Wick: Chapter 4.”
However, Reeves acknowledged that the franchise was still expanding.
He pointed to Ballerina, a spin-off starring Ana de Armas, where John Wick will make a brief appearance.
“Oh my gosh, well, there’s a version of it called Ballerina, which is in the John Wick world, and John Wick makes a brief appearance.”
“So, other than that, I have no idea.”
Director Chad Stahelski has also expressed uncertainty about a fifth film.
While Lionsgate previously confirmed that John Wick 5 was in early development, Stahelski and Reeves have remained noncommittal.

Stahelsky earlier told Business Insider that he wants a story that respects the fans and stays true to the franchise.
He said, “If we felt we weren’t ripping the fans off and had more to give, I’d do it tomorrow.”
“I just don’t have that right now.”
“The other stuff I’m working on are great properties, and I’m excited, but nothing is going to beat this.”
For now, Reeves is focused on his new documentary series, Visionaries.
The project, created with his ARCH Motorcycle co-founder, Gard Hollinger, explores innovation and creativity through the stories of groundbreaking thinkers.
Discussing the essence of creativity, Reeves said, “At the most deepest, profound level, I think it would probably come to love… maybe the energy of combining and overcoming forces of repulsion.”
“That creativity is probably a binding force, a positive binding force.”
